The pheasants are huge. They are starting to
get some red around their eyes and chest.

Hey, check out the  difference between the one that didn't grow and the one that did pretty amazing.

Hey everybody, check out all the pheasants on the feeder.  They eat a 50 lb bag of feed a week.
Is that a lot of feed or what?  That is about what I eat in two to three weeks.

The pheasants really like the sun, when I go out there in the morning, all the pheasants are laying by the door in the sun.

This is one of the birds that didn't grow very much,
it is almost the exact same size as when we got them.

Now compare these with the one on top.
There is a big difference between them.  They are the same age, but they don't look like it.

the other day our beak bits arrived. The beak bit is a piece of metal that fits between the two halves of the beak and clips into the nostril.  It is used for preventing the birds from pecking open the shoulder of another bird which will allow other birds to open the wound further and the bird will eventually die of the loss of blood or body parts.

Rearing Pheasants

Today we found one of the pheasants had its shoulder pecked open.
We had to bring him in the house, so the other pheasants wouldn't peck at him.

This is a picture of one of the exotic pheasants we have.
There are two colors: brown and brown with white.
